What is PMU (Permanent Makeup)?

Permanent makeup, also known as permanent cosmetics, derma-pigmentation, micro-pigmentation, and cosmetic tattooing, is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as brows and other permanent enhancing colors to the face, lips and eye-lining.

What is ombre powder brows?

Ombre powder brows is a semi permanent tattoo, it is a process in which a trained technician uses a handheld machine and pigment to create the appearance of a powder like finish. In this process, the technician creates tiny superficial dots on the epidermis layer of the skin that mimic powder filled brows. This is done in an Ombre manner, starting light at the front of the brows and flows darker towards the tail of the brows.

What is the difference between microblading and powder brows?

Microblading uses a manual tool to create tiny hair strokes throughout the brow whereas Ombre/Powder brows uses machine to create a soft shading affect. Microblading is not suitable for fair-skinned, fair-haired clients hoping to achieve a natural look. Clients with oily skin, microblading strokes may fade faster, need more touchups or expand with in the skin. If you have oily skin, powder brows or combination brow.

How is PMU performed?

The procedure is performed with a few steps; cleaning the surface area. Then measurements (mapping the brows) is done to create a brow design ideal with face shape and brow structure, making both brows as symmetrical. After mapping/drawing out the brows to clients liking, picking out the right color/shade is next. Colors are customized to clients skin tone and hair tone and clients liking. Pigments are bendable to create the ideal color/shade. Total time can range from 2-4 hours.

How many days does it take for powder brows to heal?

Total brow healing time is 10-14 days. You may resume normal activities, brow activities such as washing your brows or applying makeup after you are done flaking or after 14 days. At 2 weeks, the brows may be light and patchy since the skin is flaking off in different areas. Final result and color will be at 4 weeks. And in most cases a touch up can be required.

Does ombre powder brows hurt?

Procedure is relatively pain free, topical numbing cream is applied after outline before full shading. Some, feel a little bit of discomfort and some have gone through the process without the numbing cream with ease. If you prefer not to take the chance, we offer numbing cream to all clients!

How often do you need a touch up?

Usually every 1-3 years for Ombre Powder, this will depend on many factors such as your skin type/skin care routine/environment etc.

Can old powder brows or microblading tattoos be covered up?

Depends, most tattoos yes. Some of the traditional tattoos are more difficult to work with. They are deeply layered verses the softer approach used today. Most of the time, the traditional tattoos require removal and resting period for the skin before being able to be worked on again. However, you can send us a picture of your eyebrows and we can tell you what can and cannot be done. In some cases, clients get it completely removed before coming to us, which is also another option available.

Is one visit enough?

We recommend two sessions for new clients who have never down any permanent makeup procedure to their eyebrows. The second session is a lesser fee than the initial session. After that, it depends on how long your skin can retain the tattoo. It can take another 1 year to 3 years for you to come back for a color boost touch up.

I just got my brows done, will they stay this dark?

No, definitely not. The process and ink used is meant to look dark initially. The results fade into a much softer finish. Fading is about 30-50%.

My brows did not seem to take the ink. I just finished my 10-14 days of healing. Is this normal?

Yes, this is normal. Right after 10-14 day healing process it will appear lighter than the final results. You must wait a full month for the final results to take in.

What is Lip Blushing?

Lip blushing is a semi permanent tattoo, that involves injecting pigment into the lips with a single mechanical machine. Unlike old-school lip tattooing methods, current lip blushing offer a subtle wash of colour. Modern lip blushing injects pigment into the epidermis (top layer of the skin) using a quick hand motion and dotting method, similar to whip-shading or pepper-shading techniques seen in traditional tattooing.

How long does lip blush last?

Lip blush does fade overtime. They can last 1-3 years after the first touch up following 4 weeks from initial session.

Can I get lip blush if I have dark/cool-toned lips?

Yes you can, however, on the first session we will have to do a full neutralization session to cancel out the dark/cool tones of your lips. This means for your first session we will have to use ORANGE ink! If we tattoo any other color it will risk darkening your lips or end up with no change at all. After 6-8 weeks most if not all of your darkness should be evened out and will have healed to a nudey-pink shade. *Results cannot be guaranteed and lightening of evening out darker lips may require several sessions of neutralizing.

Can I get this procedure done if I have lip fillers?

Yes, you can! However, if will need to be at least one month since the last time you had fillers injected (Hyaluron Pen or Needled injections).

Can you tattoo over scars?

Yes, one of the benefits of lip blush is that you can use it as a scar camouflage. Additional touch ups may be required.

What if iā€™m prone to getting cold sores. Can I still get my lips blushed?

Yes you can! However, you will need to take an over the counter anti-viral or an anti-viral prescribed by your doctor 7 days prior to the appointment. You cannot have an active outbreak in order to proceed with the appointment.

Who is suitable for this service?

Lip Blush is suitable for almost everyone!

Does this procedure hurt?

Pain is usually about a 5 out of 10. However, everyone has a different pain tolerance. You are numbed throughout the process.

Can I get this done if I have a previous lip tattoo?
